Portable LiDAR mapping

Handheld SLAM 3D Scanners

Operator using a ModeXion Staris handheld LiDAR scanner in an underground tunnel

Capture indoor and outdoor environments with handheld LiDAR, visual imagery, and post-processing workflows for point clouds and 3D documentation. Choose a model and configuration for your project.

Four model families for different capture priorities.

Cobra adds modular LiDAR options and standard RTK. Pentra balances portability and broad coverage. Radix emphasizes dense 360° capture and range. Staris emphasizes extended reach and battery duration.

ModeXion Radix handheld SLAM scanner with cylindrical sensor head, integrated display, and grip

Radix

Designed for evaluators who need comprehensive 360° coverage, longer range, and a high point rate. Point rate should be assessed alongside environment, workflow, and accuracy requirements.

Capture capabilities across the lineup

Camera resolution, storage, field interfaces, and deliverables depend on the selected model.

Field preview

Real-time point-cloud preview in supported handheld workflows.

Colorized point clouds

Align LiDAR geometry with imagery. Cobra has 25.2 MP total camera pixels; Pentra, Radix, and Staris specify 12 MP visual capture.

Removable storage

Cobra includes a 512 GB CFexpress card and 64 GB eMMC. Pentra, Radix, and Staris include 128 GB CFexpress storage, expandable to 1 TB.

Post-processing

Cobra uses MX-Fusion processing. Select the software and export workflow for the point clouds, maps, coordinates, or models your project requires.

Field-to-deliverable

Capture with immediate visual feedback.

Pentra, Radix, and Staris use a 5-inch AMOLED field interface for task management and point-cloud preview without a phone connection. Cobra provides its own capture and MX-Fusion processing workflow; see the Cobra configuration details. Final deliverables depend on the supported post-processing workflow.
